This is part of my “Shining Faces” series — imaginary portraits of men and women who are deeply rooted in self-confidence and self-awareness. Even in the midst of chaos and darkness, of personal shortcomings and a world rife with corruption, they manage to hold their ground and never lose touch with the divine core that lies within us all — those countless people who let their light shine so that others may follow them.

While painting I look into the inner realm, not at the world of things around me – related to experiences you might have in a meditation.
